Interestingly as human beings or to be more specific as Nigerians we don't seem to be in agreement with what naturally occurs within us, i.e. at the "cellular" level.
Most of us, as Nigerians, really know our problems but we have "willingly" and "stubbornly" refused to find final solutions to these problems due to reasons I believe are mostly due to selfishness..."Kowa ya hau tudun mun tsira a Najeriya sai ya manta da na kasa/na baya".
Cells in living tissues have a well organized "community" where none of them transgresses the laid-down natural rules and regulations of its community as long as it remains to be a "normal resident" cell in that community except for reasons that will ultimate serve a good purpose for that community...none of the cellular components lives an independent life including "Oga" DNA and the Mitochondria (cellular PHCN/NEPA). These cells don't ever play politics with their lives except for a good and predetermined course. Each of these cellular components or fragments feel for each other's benefit or lost. If any of them has a "problem" they quickly organize a dedicated rescue team to either save that ailing fragment or they all go for the last option i.e. "apoptosis" (programmed cell death).
We cannot compare ourselves, Nigerians, with cells despite the facts that they (the cells) live within us. This is bcos we don't seem to understand what is good for us as Human beings...as Nigerians. Most of our politicians live their lives outside our "cellular system".
Agreed that we are like "political cells" that need to be mobilized to form political "organ" and then become a political 'system' with a specific function of rescuing Nigeria. This is extremely reasonable. But did Buhari not come out to contest in 2003 and 2007? Do you think that Nigerians were so stupid or amnesic to have gone to vote for PDP then?
I believe that Buhari is already an ideology because most of those that contested in both the 2003 and 2007 elections used him to win elections. The "Buhari" factor was an ideology that was used by those people (most of whom betrayed him and indeed Nigerians afterwards).
The way I pictured what happened during those elections was that Buhari was the "cell" in both 2003 and 2007 and indeed in subsequent elections if he so wished to continue being "a Pluripotential stem cell" in Nigerian politics. What happened then was that the "tissues" and "organs" that were supposed to be Buhari (the cell) commitments to the "Cellular Community of Nigeria" turned out to be "malignant/cancerous". That is why I said we are just not serious about our problems. We should have been the true "daughter cells" of our mandate.
Buhari has done his part but the rest of us, after voting for him in both the previous elections, "refused" to protect or follow-up the elections results for him...as obtained in the case of some gubernatorial election results in some States where the "Largest Party" in Africa couldn't be allowed to introduce any form of "carcinogenic molecule" into the election results by way of rigging.
What happened in the USA and Ghana recently may never happen in Nigeria bcos the Americans and Ghanians are normal cells and are ready to confront any "deviant/cancerous cell" in their "cellular community". The “incumbency rule” did not hold water in the USA and Ghana elections bcos it was just a basket...useless to hold water.
I believe the good people of Nigeria are always ready to mobilize and organize themselves but the real trouble is that there are amongs them others that are highly malignant...those that hijacked the Nigerian DNA and Mitochondria in their quest for ill-gotten power and wealth...those that feel that they are above all "cellular" laws including apoptosis...those that will never relent in their efforts of feeding on the blood of the good people of Nigeria...those that intend to continue injecting carcinogenes into the Nigerian system...and those that are ever ready to sale their mandate...etc...
May the Almighty ALLAH (SWA) give us the courage and understanding to behave like the normal cells in our tissues and organs. May we all realize the outcome of our inability to be "normal cells" in our "Cellular Nigeria". Ameen.
Thank you for your time and patience.
